Our practice and trainig workshop

The field´s investigation analysis, the assembly of a new choreography or rehearsal of those already established, the permanent teatral courses, corporal expression, of interrelation and auto- motivation, require of a physical space that we denominate "TALLER DE ENSAYO", there not alone our classes dancers receive but it is also a learning space where the solidarity and high confraternity spirit show among dancers, choreographers, directors, technicians and apprentices.

Young students and professionals of different levels and specialties, with the firm conviction of impelling an arduous investigation work and diffusion of our cultural identity, got united to this proposal and by the moment conform the cast of the ballet, some in the dance area properly this and others in the technical and scenic movement that each assembly demands it.

Luis Homero Beltrán Vargas

Our Director

Born in Quito, studious of the Ecuadorian folklore, Investigator, member, dancer and coordinator of several groupings of folkloric dance and Latin American music from 1972; actor of theater groups from 1965, master of ceremonies and leading of artistic shows.

President for five periods of the Association of Professional Artists of Pichincha (1994-1996, 1996-1998, 2004-2006, 2006-2008 and 2008-2009); In 1999 he was named in México Vice-president of the BLADA (Latin American Block of Actors) Organism of the International Federation of Actors, position carried out up to 2001.Founder and present Chief of a main directorate in two periods different (1999-2001, 2009-2011) from SARIME, Society of management of the Artists, Interpreters and Musicians Executants of Ecuador. Vice-president of the National Federation of Professional Artists of Ecuador (2006-2008).. He has exercised Professor's of Aesthetic Culture class in several educational institutions and he is the General Director of the Folkloric Ballet of Ecuador of Luis Beltrán from 1986, Ballet that was declared by the press national "Personage of the year, for their contribution to the culture" and "one of the most noted dance groups in the Country" (Newspaper LA Hora-January 2 of 2005)

He has received several badges of national and international organisms for his investigation work and diffusion of the Ecuadorian cultures and defense of the interests of the national artistic class, among the most important they consist: “National badge to the Cultural Merit of First Class” granted by the Ministry of Education and Culture (Ag. Number5812-28.nov.97); “Gem to the Labor Merit” granted by the Ministry of Labor and Human Resources (Agreement Number 251-30.abr.98), Badges “To the Cultural Merit” granted in two occasions by the H. National Congress (26.oct.93 and 21.nov.95); “Gem to the Leader Merit of First Class” granted by the General Assembly of the Association of Professional Artists of Pichincha; Badge of the Municipal Town council of Newark N.J'S City. USA, for the work of defense of the rights of the Ecuadorian artists (26.ago.2003); Reward “Member of Honor of the Ibero-American Forum of the Arts” granted by the Ibero-latinamerican Federation of Artists FILAIE ( oct.7th 2003); others of the Presidency of the Republic, H. Provincial Council of Pichincha, Circle of the Press, Syndicates, Associations and more cultural, political and social organizations.
