Mestizo festival tradition that begins in the streets and squares every December 28th and which extends up to January 6th, mainly in the cities of Quito, Ambato and others of the Ecuadorian Mountains, where the predominant flavor melts with the bustling happiness of the disguised copleros.
Clowns and their lessons, capariches and their hussies sentences, widows, carishinas, monkeys and picturesque chagras, shine with show their improvised braveries, while the processions, roe deer of flowers and devote pilgrimages arrive, to the help of prodigal priostes that they take place with firecrackers, crazy cows and castles, to the compass of the rustic bands, affirming their mestizo identity.
